Food Diary

People often write to me asking about my nutrition so I've decided to share a day of food with you.  For the first time in my life I recorded all of my food intake over the course of 4 days.  The timing is interesting because it was just a little more than a month out from the CrossFit Regionals where I'll be competing for a spot at the Games.  From January to May I didn't focus on my nutrition  but I'd be lying if I said I ate whatever I wanted.  I usually eat pretty lean---lots of animal protein, veggies, and fruit.  But it's only in the last 2 weeks that I've started to dial things in for competition. Here is a snapshot of a single day of eating---

1 english muffin high fiber

1.5 cups OJ

3 handfuls of cashews

1 avocado

1 container of blackberries

3 turkey cutlets(grilled non breaded)

1 palm full cashews

2 scoops of Progenex More Muscle

 

8pm

Bag of raw baby spinach with honey mustard dressing

4 turkey cutlets

1 India pale ale

1 apple

1 snickerdoodle cookie(gluten free)

2 palm fulls of goldfish crackers

1 pear yogurt

2 TBSP peanut butter

I have no idea how many calories this is nor do I care.  The goal for me is to maintain lean mass and strength at the lightest possible body weight.  It pays to be light and strong. Hope you find this helpful.  Monday will be the first official wod with video so stay tuned and spred the word.
